How Twitter Works

Just like they did with RSS, the folks over at Common Craft do a most excellent job of explaining twittter in plain english.

Seems like in the past month or so twitter is moving beyond a "what are my friends doing microblog" to something else.  What that something else is seems less useful to me. It feels I am currently using twitter a lot less then I was a month or two ago.  My TweetStats seem to back that feeling up.

I'm done with Twitter. No more posts. It has brought no value to me. I am sure my 11 followers are going to be crushed. :-)

I agree that Twitter can lose its value if your audience base becomes polluted.

I learned from mistakes with my personal account and decided with my business account to deliberately keep my following/followers count low and focused. Now my business account is filled with tremendous value,so much so, that I found potential partners and one of my advisory board members via http://twitter.com/abbysbooth

SOLUTION: purge & focus your twitter following/followers list based on one subject and twitter will be useful again to you.

if you have content, whether it be video or other (vblogs, entertainment, ect) this is a great way to get the word out. pop up reminders = tweets.
